How often have you finished the sentence of a close friend or relative or knew what they were going to say before they even spoke? How many times have you felt the need to talk to someone only to find they were about to call you and share some news?
These experiences are a form of telepathy. Telepathy is the ability to communicate from one person's mind to another using words, sounds, pictures and symbols. It is a natural talent and something that nearly everyone has encountered, but may not have recognized as a psychic experience. Telepathy works best when you use it to communicate with the people you are closest to, such as family members, friends, co-workers or other people that you love.
Developing Your Telepathic Skills
With practice, telepathic skills can be expanded and improved. Developing your telepathy can be fun and is similar to playing a child's guessing game. Questions such as "What number am I thinking of?" or "Guess which hand the coin is in" can be used to open your psychic channels. You will find that you get the best results when your mind is relaxed and open and you are enthusiastic about the experience.
Here is an exercise which can help develop your telepathic skills:
- Agree to practice communicating telepathically with a close friend or relative. Set aside time each day to practice this communication.
- Make yourself comfortable in a place where you will not be interrupted. Relax by stretching or by taking a few deep breaths. Eliminate any negative thoughts and feelings and focus on how much you care for your friend or relative and how connected you are to one another.
- Picture your friend or relative in your mind. Concentrate on what they are doing and how they feel. Try to determine what they're thinking or what worries or anxieties they may have. Open your mind to thoughts and messages your friend may be trying to send you.
- Write down any any impressions you receive and the time you received them. Later in the day, talk to your friend or relative about what they were doing at that particular time and how they felt. Compare their actions and feelings to the impressions you received.
Regularly practicing this exercise will open your intuitive channels and help you develop the ability to sense what is occurring in the lives of friends and loved ones. Validating your results with loved ones can also help you recognize an intuitive experience and make you more confident when using your skills in other areas of your life.
